Rose – a genus of shrubs belonging to the rose family (Rosaceae). There are approximately 140–260 species known in the Northern Hemisphere. They occur in various forest and scrub formations. They are shrubs and vines with usually fragrant flowers, pollinated by insects.
They are a source of rose oil used in the perfume industry, they are medicinal and edible plants but above all they are used as ornamental plants.
