Sectional felling of "difficult" trees using mountaineering techniques is one of the safest methods of cutting down trees, but it requires a lot of experience, specialist knowledge, appropriate skills and professional equipment from the person performing it. The arborist, properly secured with safety ropes, climbs the tree and then cuts it down in "sections", i.e. fragments, starting from the lower parts of the branches and branches, then moving to the top of the trunk and cutting it lower and lower, reaching down to ground level.
